The
FlowEdge is a “Designed in Canada”, “Made in Canada” solution to severe service
flow measurement problems. The FlowEdge has solved various tough flow
applications including flow measurement of Bitumen, tailings, heavy oil,
slurries, abrasive flow streams and corrosive flow streams.
The FlowEdge Meter has been
fabricated from Carbon Steel, a variety of Stainless Steels, Hastelloy, and
Chrome Moly’s. Available in threaded or flange versions with ratings from
ANSI 150 to ANSI 2500 in various pipe schedules shows the versatility of
options available from the FlowEdge.
Data books
with complete material traceability and a variety of NDT are available.
Water calibrations are available on the majority of sizes offered.

The FlowEdge© is a square law, density
dependent, primary flow element. A wedge-shaped flow restriction, located at
the center point of the element creates a differential pressure. This
delta P is directly proportional to the volumetric flow of the
process. The FlowEdge accurately measures the volumetric flow of
clean, dirty or abrasive liquids and gases. The FlowEdge
construction measures dirty or abrasive processes without signal accuracy
degradation caused by wear or process fouling.
